A stylish and celebrated week long winter sports and music festival, Snowbombing, takes place every year during the spring season. It is Europe’s biggest snow and music festival. The format of the festival combines winter sports like snowboarding with cutting edge music performances, world class acts by international artists and themed parties on unusual locations. The locations differ from igloo villages to forest clearings to open-air street parties.
The event is well known for its imaginative and fun filled elements. Austrian cultural references are presented with a contemporary twist in the festival. Fancy dress themes are embraced by the people and they are seen in unconventional clothing.
Attendees can also enjoy the breathtaking alpine scenery of the festival destination with relaxing saunas and spas of the hotels.
The festival also has its own road trip where in the people can drive down from United Kingdom to Mayehofen. They can collect points en route; have an overnight pit stop in Frankfurt and an arrival procession in Mayrhofen – which declares the event open.
