Are you a folk music lover? If yes, then get ready for a delightful time at the Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF) 2020 in Jodhpur starting from 23rd till 27th October. During this time, the royal city of Jodhpur will welcome more than 250 musicians and performing artists from across India and overseas who will come together and celebrate Rajasthan's musical heritage, create music through innovative collaborations accompanied with a interesting fusion of international and local folk music and exciting performances.

Rajasthan International Folk Festival is known as India's first annual folk festival that celebrates the traditional folk music and arts. This festival first took place in 2007 and since then the RIFF society (Mehrangarh Museum Trust and the Jaipur Virasat Foundation) tries to rekindle the magic of folk and fusion every year in October by collecting connoisseurs of folk music and arts from all over the world.

This beautiful music festival will be set against the grand backdrop of the Mehrangarh Fort and will feature an assortment of events like a jazz night, a Rajasthani night, gypsy and traditional dance forms and early morning ragas to soothe you. The festival will coincide with the brightest full moon i.e. Sharad Poornima. Don't miss attending this fest as the divine music flowing to every corner of the fort will enchant, embrace and caress your soul.


Passes for RIFF Jodhpur

The donor passes to this event range from minimum fee of Rs. 300 through which you can attend any one interactive folk session to the 'full donor pass' worth Rs. 4,500 that permits you to enjoy the spirit of Rajasthan by visiting forts and museums along with attending the fest. You can book your ticket/donor passes online around May 2020. Bear in mind that the trust follows a strict 'no cancellation and no refund' policy.

Where to stay in Jodhpur
Book your accommodation in advance to attend the RIFF. You can have a luxurious stay at Taj Hari Mahal, Taj Gateway, Fort Chanwa in Luni, The Ajit Bhawan, Raas, Ranbanka Palace, Balsamand Lake Palace in Jodhpur, Rohet Garh and Umaid Bhawan Palace that also happens to be the official sponsor of this fest.

How to get to Jodhpur
Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is well connected by air, rail and road. Jodhpur has regular flights from Delhi and Mumbai. Direct trains from the major cities in India is available to reach Jodhpur. To travel by road, you can book your taxi well in advance especially during peak season.
