The picturesque beauty of the unceasingly carved sand dunes of Rajasthan is ready to entice you as Jaisalmer plays host to Ragasthan - a three-day cultural festival featuring music, film, art, photography and scores of outdoor activities! The festival aims at promoting local and international tourism by showcasing music, art and culture in Rajasthan region.
With a multitude of genres Ragasthan has a note to suit every ear and one will get to hear music from around the world under the open sky. 3 open stages, namely Morio (Main Stage), Ammara (Electronic Stage), and Olun (World Music Stage) will hold musical performances in the middle of the desert. A sneak-preview into the events’ line up announced so far is as under:
MORIO STAGE: A colourful stage that will host the key acts of Pop, Rock, and Alternative genres by over 20 artists.

UJALO - Ujalo, the ‘Film Tent’ at Ragasthan is where you can pull yourself a mattress and enjoy open air film screening under a canopy of stars till midnight. Some of the most talented filmmakers in the country will present their films as well as have an open chat with the gathering. Film screenings will include feature films, short films, documentaries, classics, cults, and experimental cinema.
HATHAI - It is the artist zone of Ragasthan where artists from across the world will gather to exhibit and absorb art in its various forms. Here one can try their hands on sculpting, drawing, colouring, graffiti, sand art, pottery, or photography. Artist podiums built exclusively for photographers and illustrators will provide a bird’s eye view of the entire festival site.
DHANI - Immersed in a laid-back haze you can camp at the festival site – so get your tents out! Ragasthan will offer you the choice to create your own little village – Dhani. You can either bring your own tents, or hire from the site. Camping at Ragasthan will provide you with impressive perks such as access to all the after-parties, restro-bars, camel safaris, and lot more...
KHAMMA GANI SA - This zone will see a myriad of social treats like impromptu performances, star gazing with astronomers, bonfires, drum circles, jugglers, karaoke bar, local food and open kitchens, amongst others. The comic book tents are sure to entice comic and graphic novel fans. There's even kite surfing, sand surfing, zorbing, quad biking, dune- boarding, paintballing, hot air ballooning, and RC car rides.
Apart from these distinct zones, there is UDHAM (The Kids Zone), BIRAKHA (The Eco Zone), and Sci-Fi/Graphic Zone. Ragasthan will also feature many ancient forgotten Rajasthani art forms. So pack your bags to leave for 3 crazy nights soaked in music, art, and fun!
