The Altstadt Festival, better known as the Old Town Autumn Culture Festival held in Dusseldorf attracts around 20,000 people every. The event takes place on a large scale in the Altstadt district. The Autumn Festival conducts musical and theatrical performances, art and culture programmes along with other forms of classical entertainment.
With lively markets, music, food, drinks, art, culture and entertainment, life is pulsating at the Old Town Autumn Festival. You can spend your whole day at the festival just exploring museums, galleries, sights, churches. Altstadtherbst (autumn in the Old Town) continues for two and a half weeks and each year it has something new for its guests.
The highlights of the event include Japanese and Chinese art and dance offerings, Mozart, Opera, Dance Theatre, Handel and Haydn concerts, Fado from Cristina Branco, choral and orchestral Schubert and last but not the least Flamenco from Ojos de Brujo. The hip and happening pop-jazz songs by Jacobien Vlasman Quintett and the Finnish band SVANG will keep you grooving to its music.
