When: 30th December to 1st January, 2018
Where: Edinburgh, Scotland
The Scots know how to celebrate. They celebrate the coming of the new year with gusto - in fact Hogmanay (as it's called) is a more popular festival here in Edinburgh than Christmas. Hogmanay kicks off in December and the biggest street party in all of Scotland is organized with people coming out into the streets and letting their hair down - dancing and taking part in street parades and of course knocking back a drink or two. On New years eve night 31 December everyone celebrates with abandon and heralds in the coming year - music rents the air, live concerts performed by big ticket performers such as UB40 and Blondie who have taken the crowds by storm in the recent years, festivities and firworks light up the sky.
All events at the Hogmanay Festival are ticketed events so be sure to make your bookings well in advance so, as to avoid disappointment.
