Get ready to experience summer fun amidst the artistic extravaganza-Escape Festival of Art & Music at the Lake Resort, Naukuchiatal in Uttarakhand. The Escape Festival will feature a variety of artists, photographers, bands, painters, tattoo artists, potters and graffiti artists from various places from all over the world.

The three-day Escape Festival held in the pristine beauty of Naukuchiatal will include artists and bands like Menwhopause, Indigo Children, Hari Om Project, Rajneesh Kapoor (comedian), Shivani Kohli (painter), Shiv Ahuja (photographer), Aditya Mubayi (quizmaster), Samrat X (writer), Samita Chatterjee (graffiti artist) amongst others.

Organized by Potheads, a music and arts event company, this event known to be started by artists for artists in 2009 has now become very popular amongst the creative community. The festival will also feature camping, a film festival and a flea market on the banks of the Naukuchiatal Lake.

The Escape Festival allows you to explore the free expression of art in various forms amidst the beautiful natural surroundings. With a breathtaking venue and creativity all around, the Escape Festival of Art and Music is an ideal way to breakaway with your daily routine and spend some quality time enjoying with your family and friends.

This art and music festival is a creative initiative by Potheads. The festival will feature over 200 artists from various genres. The 2012 Escape Festival performances are slotted into two categories: Soul Garden and Magic Forest.

Soul Garden: draws its name from its location and will feature fusion and jazz music. The stage will be set by the lake.

Performers: Skinny Alley (Kolkata), Hari & Sukhmani, Antoine (France), Valentine Shipley, Menwhopause (Delhi), The Captains of Hook (Chennai), Azaan Khan.

Magic Forest: is named after the location and the genres of music, rock and electronic. The stage will be set in a valley surrounded by trees. The stage will come alive with music, lights and visuals at night.

Performers: Scribe (Mumbai), Bhayanak Maut (Mumbai), Puoskari (Finland), Vaeya, AutoLaser, (Norway), Street Stories (Shillong), Indigo Children.

Other performers include Nitin Bal Chauhan, Sameer Hazari, Shiv Ahuja and Kamal Kansara.
