The airport is 3 miles from downtown and is connected to the city Shuttles, San Deigo Transit buses and taxis are available into town. Buses cost $1.75 and a cab ride in to downtown $7. You could rent a car at the airport.

How to Get to San Diego by Rail Amtrak trains arrive at the Santa Fe depot. There are daily services to Los Angeles.

How to Get to San Diego by Bus If you are driving in, take the I-8 interstate highway if you are coming in from the east, the I-5 from the north or south and the I-15 from Nevada in the northeast. Greyhound Lines buses serve the city.

Getting Around San Diego The best way to see San Diego is by car as attractions are pretty spread out. You could rent one of your choice and within your budget from the many options available. However, you can also hire cycles or use the city public transit services. Use the San Diego Trolley to cover mainland areas and the San Diego Harbor Excursion for Coronado. There is a San Diego Transit bus service across town as well.
