How to Get to Austin by Air

The Austin Bergstrom International Airport is served by major national airlines. Take a bus into the city center or a taxi which will get you there for about $20. Alternately you could rent a car.

How to Get to Austin by Bus

Austin lies on the I-35 between Dallas and San Antonio. So you can rent a car and drive in from neighbouring towns or states. It is useful to have one’s own transportation in this city. There are of course coach services from all major and neighbouring cities into Austin, if you don’t want to drive yourself.

Getting Around Austin

Getting around is easy in Austin thanks largely to its METRO bus service which for a nominal fee will take you anywhere in town. METRO also runs a free trolley system in the morning on weekdays. Taxis are easy to get and one can hire bicycles from several establishments. If you rent a car then it is convenient to drive in the city.
