How to Get to Phuket by Air Phuket, because of its popularity as a tourist destination, is well connected to the rest of the country, and in fact even to other countries. Phuket International Airport is connected by air to major cities across Europe, Korea and Malaysia, besides Singapore and Hong Kong. Within Thailand regular flights link Phuket to other cities on the mainland.

How to Get to Phuket by Bus Railways and bus routes are a slower, but more leisurely option. A causeway links the island of Phuket to mainland Thailand and if you opt for surface travel, you’ll come in via this causeway.

Getting Around Phuket Within the island of Phuket, one of the easiest ways to get around is to hire a car or a jeep or motorbike, if you’re planning to go into the `rough’. There are shops in Phuket town, which act as car rental services, or you could inquire with your travel agent. Many hotels and resorts operate private shuttle bus services into Phuket town, and you can also take a taxi to move around the island. If you’re interested in going to some of the nearby islands, you can usually find a boat headed your way- most boats depart from Port of Phuket at Makham Bay as do chartered boats and yachts.
