How to Reach Mussoorie by Rail The nearest railhead is at Dehradun which receives trains from Delhi and other big cities and towns. There is a Delhi - Dehradun Shatabdi train also which is most convenient and takes about 5 and half hours from Delhi and vice versa. From the station here a regular bus service plies to Mussoorie as do taxis.

How to Reach Mussoorie by Bus There are regular buses and shared taxis from Dehradun, coming in to the Library Bus Stand. Buses also ply to Kulri, Masonic Lodge Bus Stand, Tehri Bus Stand and 5 kms away at Landour. Besides Dehradun, there are services from Delhi, Saharanpur, Haridwar, Shimla, Chamba and Tehri town.

Getting Around Mussoorie The Mall is closed to traffic during peak tourist season. You can either walk across, or take a ride on ponies or hand-drawn rickshaws – relics of the Raj. Cars can be hired from the GMVN transport office at the Library or from one of the private tour operators. All rented cars are chauffeur-driven.
