History
Queens Land – the Great Amusement park is a theme park located in Chennai, capital city of the state of Tamil Nadu. It was established in 2003 and is a place at which one can spend time with the family.
Queens Land offers both dry rides as well as water rides with the rides being further subdivided into sub categories. The family rides are for the whole family to enjoy and spend quality time together. Some of entertainment offered by these rides includes Bumping Cars, Fun House, Space Journey and the Queen express train. But what really pulls the crowd to this place are the water rides. These rides are seen as a perfect getaway from the hot and humid climate of the city. The rides include a splash, water slides, a pool in which you can relax and several more fun rides.
One of the main attractions of this place is the free fall tower which is for adults only. This is one of the tallest towers in Asia that allows people to enjoy the floating sensation while going up and down. Another famous ride is the Longest Train Journey which is a wonderful ride for every one that goes through a surprise fun tunnel with a speed of 15 km/h. This is the longest track in this segment in South East Asia which carries 100 persons at a time. The Centrox ride also attracts many visitors as there are only three of their kinds in the whole world. The ride is one for the thrill seekers as it rotates at a height of 30 feet and while rotating at 83°.
The park has numerous other rides that suit whatever kind of fun one is looking for be it something that can be done with the family or something that gives a surge of adrenaline. The amusement park also provides services like lockers, prayer halls, multi cuisine restaurants and much more.

Best time to visit
Summers last from March to May and are warm and humid with the maximum temperature reaching up to 40°C. Winters last from December to February and are the ideal months for visiting the city as the temperature is cool and dry and the temperature ranges between 17°C to 30°C.
The best time to visit the place is from November to February.

The park is open from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am to 6:30 pm on weekends. The park is open on all days except Mondays.
