Where to Stay in Orissa

There are several places to stay in Orissa. The major cities and towns of Orissa such as the capital city of Bhubaneswar and the Hindu pilgrimage city of Puri are sprawled with big and small hotels, along with resorts in Gopalpur.

The Hotel Swosti and Toshali Sands Ethnic Village Resort are the most popular among the Bhubaneswar hotels. The rooms are provided with adequate amenities for a comfortable stay. Puri has a host of hotels and boarding places ranging from budget hotels located along the sea-side to 3 Star hotels.

Gopalpur is renowned as a beautiful sea-side vacation spot in Southern Orissa and is home to the Swosti Palm Resort. Other important towns such as Baripada, Ballasore, Jashipur, Bhadrak, Konark, Chandipur and Cuttack too have reasonably priced budget hotels and lodges. There are Government-run tourist lodges in most of these towns and cities.
