History
Shani Temple is located just few kilometers away from Bangalore. The temple is dedicated to Shanishwar, a planet in the Hindu astrology. Shanishwar or Saturn is the son of Suryadev and his second wife Chaya Devi. The temple is located on the banks of Madhure Kere, a big lake. The temple is built in South Indian style architecture with Gopura. Every year there is a procession on which Lord Shani is taken in the chariot followed by thousands of devotees.
