How to Reach Bengaluru (bangalore) by Air

Bengaluru International Airport is the main airport located in Devanahalli which is around 40 kilometers away from the city. There are several daily flights from major Indian cities as well as daily direct flights from Dubai, Singapore, Bangkok and Frankfurt.

To get to and from the city, there are taxi services and an airport shuttle service provided by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). There is also an option to hire chauffeur-driven or self-driven cars at the airport.

How to Reach Bengaluru (bangalore) by Rail

Bengaluru is well connected to all parts of the country by rail. There are two main stations for Bengaluru.The Bengaluru City railway station located within the city which is served by most local and long-distance rains and the Yeswantpur Junction located on NH-4 (Tumkur Road) which is serviced by a few trains. The Cantonment train station is yet another option particularly if you are headed for the MG Road area.

Bengaluru is well connected by road and there are both private and State-run bus services to the city from neighbouring states. You can choose from deluxe or ordinary bus services.

Getting Around Bengaluru (bangalore)

Bengaluru has an extensive bus service which can get you around the city quite cheap. However, do remember that the buses can quite crowded during peak hours. Taxis and autos are easily available. You can also hire self-driven cars - a valid license, identification, some security deposit and a whole load of guts to negotiate the traffic would be mandatory.
