History

The hill top offers a panoramic view of the town and the surroundings, where a temple devoted to Lord Shiva is also situated. The Shiva Temple is an added attraction of the place and a sacred place for the devotees who gather at the temple to worship the deity during Shravanmas. The best time to visit Ranchi Hill is from October to May, when the temperatures and humidity are low and the weather is pleasant. Owing to its sub-tropical climate and relatively high altitude, Ranchi can be visited throughout the year, with the exception of June, July and August.
