History
Mahunag Temple is located picturesquely in the midst of the Golf Course in Naldehra at the breathtaking elevation of 1830 meters above sea-level. The temple offers enchanting view of Karsog valley and its surrounding. The Mahunag temple was built in ancient Pahari style by Raja Shyam Sen in the year 1664 and is dedicated to Lord Karna. As the legend goes, whenever the devotees are in danger and seeks the blessings of Lord Karna, he quickly transforms himself into a bee and rushes to help them. It is also believed that Lord Karna’s blessings helps devotees to resolve their family and legal issues. Offerings at this temple are made in silver to the lord.
Large number of devotees visits the temple every Sunday. A huge fair is organized every year on Makar Sankranti day. So visit this ancient temple of Mahunag and catch the glimpse of majestic the Himalayas in all its glory.

According to a legend, whenever devotees are distressed and seek help from Lord Karna, he quickly transforms himself in a bee (mahu) and simply rushes to help them.
