The options for where to stay in Gir Forest Reserve runs the gamut from budget to luxury, and almost everything in between. The forest department operates two lodges, the Sinh Sadan Forest Lodge and the Gir Lodge, while some private lodges also exist.
A room at the Sinh Sadan Lodge will cost between Rs 575 to Rs 1,000 per night. Rooms at the privately owned lodges cost about Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 per night, although rates often come down to half during low season (make sure to cross-check before booking). The national park is well-visited year round therefore accommodation is in short supply, so it’s advisable to book well in advance, particularly during the winter months.

The Gir Birding Lodge, located in a large mango orchard at the entrance to the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary, this lodge is 30 to 45 kms from the popular Somnath, Banej and Kankai temples. The property has comfortably furnished rooms and cottages that are surrounded by groves of the famous Kesar Mango of the Gir hills and other vegetation ensuring that a good number of birds come into the property itself.
Most popular amongst tourists is the Lion Safari Camp. This is a luxury Jungle Safari Camp at Gir. It is a luxury jungle safari camp that is located in a private mango orchard overlooking the Hiran River. The accommodation consists of 12 luxury tents that feature bathrooms with bathtub and shower, open-air river-facing restaurant, a lounge bar on the machan, indoor games, pool table, library, TV room and a souvenir shop.
Vanvaso Resort, located on the bank of Hiran River this resort has cottages with all modern amenities. You can also opt to stay in Wonderland Resort, located in western zone of the national park, the resort is an orchard retreat having more than 200 trees within its premises with forest view, hills and springs. The resort has rooms, cottages and tents. All three options have attached bathrooms, AC and room heater with a wide balcony in rooms and cottages.
Anil Farm House is a resort at outskirts of the national park. The accommodation consists of 16 rooms and tents overlooking the river, the place offer all modern amenities. You can check-in Gir Jungle Lodge also that is situated in the entrance of the park and has 36 AC and non-AC rooms. Amidhara Resort, located at foothills of the sanctuary is a good option to stay. The resort features AC rooms, swimming pool, restaurant and room service.
