Best Time to Visit Daman

A pleasant climate makes Daman a place one can visit anytime. The best time of the year for a trip to Daman is between the months of October and May. But Daman is especially exciting during the monsoons when the locals celebrate the Nariyal Poornima festival signifying the commencement of the fishing season. The people flock to the seashore to offer coconuts to the gods to propitiate them to keep the fishermen safe and ensure a good catch.

Climate

The weather remains warm almost the entire year though summers get pretty hot with the maximum day temperatures reaching as high as 36°C and minimum temperatures of 20° C. Winters are a bit cooler with average temperatures of around 23°C, maximums temperatures are usually around 26° C and minimums at 20°C. Daman receives a fair bit of precipitation as the southwesterly monsoons rain as much as 190cm annually.
