History
Yadavindra Gardens, also known as ‘Pinjore Gardens’ was designed by Nawab Fadai Khan, who was a renowned architect and one of the brothers of the Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb.
Located on the Chandigarh-Shimla national highway number 21, Yadavindra Gardens is spread over a total area of 100 acres. There is a mini zoo, a plants nursery, Japanese garden, historic palaces and beautiful lawns. This place is a perfect spot for recreational activities. There are water channels running right in the middle of the garden with fountains inside them. As the Sun sets, the fountains and the lighting in the Garden are really amazing to watch.
Yadavindra Gardens of Pinjore is also known for hosting festivals like the Baisakhi (spring) festival in April and for the Mango Festival in June and July, where a large variety of mangoes are displayed. This place is an ideal picnic spot for spending some quality time with your family and friends!
