How to get there by Air
The national carrier and private airlines have flights from major Indian metropolis to Borjhar Airport, 25km from Guwahati. The other cities in Assam that are connected by air to the rest of India are Silchar, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Jorhat and North Lakhimpur.

How to get there by Rail
You can get into Assam by train quite easily from any major city in India. There are direct train services from Calcutta, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Cochin and Trivandrum to Guwahati, the rail hub of Assam.

How to get there by Road
Assam is accessible by road from all the neighbouring states, such as West Bengal, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. The roads are National Highways and thus well maintained and drivable. However, the monsoon rains hit Assam pretty hard in the months from June to September and then, driving can be hazardous.
