History
The Mrugavani National Park located in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, is a national park situated at a distance of 25 kms from Hyderabad, in Chilkur in Moinabad Mandal.
Spread over an area of 9.1 sq kms, the Mrugavani National Park is home to more than 600 varieties of flora, as well as fauna including Indian hare, Russell's viper, cheetal forest cat, civet, Indian rat snake, python, Mongoose Monitor Lizard and cobra among others. The fauna of note include trees such as Sandalwood, Bamboo, teak, Rela and Palas among others.
Apart from the varied flora and fauna the Mrugavani National Park boasts of more than 100 species of birds including warblers, peacocks, lapwings, and flower peckers. You may also go for safari rides for those willing to get closer to the park’s denizens, besides nature walks with guides.

The best time to visit Mrugavani National Park is between the months of October and February.

The Mrugavani National Park has an Environmental Education Centre with an auditorium, a well-stocked library and a museum with wildlife exhibits.

Timing
The national park is opened to the public from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on Monday.
