History
The Tyda Park is a recently developed environment friendly project which is designed to provide visiting tourists with an enthralling experience of camping, trekking and bird watching.
The park is at a distance of 75 km from Visakhapatnam, and also has facilities for log huts and tent built within the tribal surroundings of the park, that can be availed by tourists. Also present here are several guides and naturalists to teach tourists about the qualities of various plants and animals found along the Eastern Ghats, as well as how to identify animal marks and bird calls.
The park is home to species of animals such as the hares and avifauna. It also provides ample opportunities for rock climbing and target shooting using a bow and an arrow. Birdwatchers will find the place an absolute treat, although the heat keeps most of the birds away during summers. There is also a place called Borra caves at a distance of about 15 kms from the park that are visited by countless tourists as well, although a lot of its natural splendour has been lost due to lack of maintenance.
