One is Resorts/Hotels and Cottages in Araku, which comprises of accommodation options where you can enjoy a very comfortable stay that will cost you around Rs. 900 or above per person/night and the second category is of Low-Budget Resorts/hotels and Cottages in Araku that includes places where you will have to pay Rs. 800 or less for per person/night. Resorts/Hotels and Cottages in Araku
For a comfortable stay at Araku, you can check-in Haritha Mayuri Resort. This resort is situated near the tribal museum and is just opposite to Araku bus depot. The resort is operated by Andhara Pradesh Tourism Department Corporation (APTDC) and it provides various staying options like cottages, deluxe rooms, suites and non A/C rooms accompanied with a multi-cuisine restaurant and bar. The property offers well-furnished cottages as well. You can enjoy a good hill-top view from the rooms of the resort.
The Punnami Yatri Niwas is conveniently located at the entrance of Araku Valley. The nearest airport is 120 kms away from the hotel in Vishakapatnam and the railway station is 3 kms away. The property has 58 rooms with 20 A/C suites, 20 non A/C suites and 18 deluxe non A/C suites. Punnami features multi-cuisine restaurant, internet connectivity, parking facility, swimming pool, conference hall and car rental services.
The Rajadhani Hotel is situated 0.5 km from railway station, 120 kms from Vizag airport and 75 kms from Araku valley bus stand. The property is the most sought out property by travellers that has 33 rooms in total with 26 non A/C and 7 A/C rooms. You can enjoy your meals in the hotel’s restaurant called Vasundhara. The restaurant food is good but the service time is a bit slow, due to crowd. Other amenities include safe deposit locker, STD, TV and Fax.
Araku Valley Resort also known as Haritha Valley Resort is an APTDC property with well furnished, air conditioned rooms, beautiful decors, 24-hour room service and peaceful ambiance. The resort has 20 air conditioned suites, 20 non A/C suite rooms and 18 non A/C deluxe rooms.
Haritha Hill Resort (Yatri Niwas) includes amenities like swimming pool, indoor game facilities, fitness center, conference hall, south Indian buffet breakfast and has its own restaurant as well. It has A/C suites and non A/C deluxe rooms and suites.
Low-Budgeted Resorts/Cottages in Araku
In the low budget category, yet another APTDC run resort is Punnami Hill Resort. The resort is located 2 kms from railway station and is near the Araku Tribal Museum. It is located near APSRTC Complex in Araku Valley. Nearest airport is in Vishakapatnam that is 120 kms away from the resort. The property has 75 rooms with 8 standard and 4 deluxe non A/c rooms, 10 craft village rooms, 22 standard, 28 deluxe and 3 A/C suite rooms. The amenities provided are car rental, Internet connectivity (chargeable) and in-house restaurant.
The Dhimsa Resorts situated at Padmapuram Garden Road is is 100 kms away from Vizag airport, 100 km from Vizag railhead and 0.5 km from Araku valley bus station. With 22 rooms (20 non A/C and 2 A/C suites) the property features its restaurant and basic facilities include TV, hot and cold water supply and room service.
The Padmapuram Hanging Cottages provide you a good experience at low price. The main attraction is the tree top cottages located in the middle of the lush green surroundings. These tree hung huts/cottages are ten feet above the ground level where you can experience rare swing. These huts have attached toilets with continuous water supply.
SRK Resort the budget property is a good option to stay and it is located on the outskirts of Araku. There is no restaurant available but the resort offers room service but it may take a little longer to give the order.
