Located 15 kms from Port Blair on the road to Wandoor, Sippighat Farm is a place where tourists love to drop by during their visit to these exotic islands of Andaman and Nicobar in India. Besides being resplendent with natural beauty, what adds to the charm of the place is the farming of nuts and spices going on in the area. The area comes under the Government and the Central Agricultural Research Institute which are responsible for carrying out the studies and methods to improve spice cultivation.

The Sippighat Farm covers a vast area of about 80 acres of cultivated land. This farm is a part of research and development program of the Government of Andaman and Nicobar islands and undertakes research to increase the productivity of agri-horticulture. Moreover farmers are allowed to grow various other spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and pepper in the farm which are exported to various parts of the world.

Another attraction of the farm is the presence of various species of migratory birds, which makes it a must visit place for ornithologists or birdwatchers. The Pacific Golden-Plover, Eurasian Curlew, Mongolian Plover and other such birds attract a great crowd from all over the world.

Facilities of Water Sports by kayak, boats, motor boats etc are intended to give the visitors an opportunity to explore the dark blue waters of The Bay of Bengal. But the main attraction is the snorkelling facility available at the facility that allows people to snorkel along the reefs of the island and have a close up view of the aquatic life.

Just a few kilometres down the road lies Wandoor, considered as an excellent place for bird watching and also houses the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. The presence of Fortune Resort Bay Island, a four star hotel makes overnight stay easy at the place.
