The Rhine Valley

History

The beautiful and serene Rhine Valley is located in Germany. The valley is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Located between the Koblenz and Mainz, the valley consists of a number of vineyards from you can get the perfect view of the entire valley region. A number of castles and cathedrals stand tall in the valley along with several hiking paths.

Bingen is the gateway to the Middle Rhine Valley. The valley boasts scenic villages, landscapes, lush green forests and majestic mountains- a visit to the Rhine is a wonderful experience!

Best time to visit

The best time to visit the Rhine Valley is in the Spring and Autumn. The valley is at its best in these seasons and the weather is really very pleasant. Do carry an umbrella when you venture out as unexpected showers can catch you off guard anytime.

It is believed that the beauty of the Rhine inspired the poets and painters till this extent that famous artists like Clemens Brentano, Friedrich Hölderlin, Heinrich Heine, August and Friedrich Schlegel composed their works in the surrounding areas of the Rhine.
