Where to Stay in Stuttgart

Stuttgart is largely a city that caters to the affluent business traveler, and there’s really no end of options for the well heeled. There are lots of hotels and places to stay around the city, both new and old and are categorized as luxury, standard and budget.

Many of the city’s most luxurious hotels, like the famed Am Schlossgarten and Le Meridien Stuttgart, are in the city centre. The international 5-star hotel, Am Schlossgarten is situated in the park landscape of the city. Le Meridian is another luxury hotel easily accessible from the railway station and the airport.

By taking an underground metro you can reach the airport, shopping streets and major attractions in about 5 minutes. If you’re trying to stay within a reasonable budget, you’ll find that good options in areas such as Bad Cannstatt, Feuerbach and Möhringen. About the only budget accommodation you’ll get in Stuttgart are the few pensions, motels, two hostels, and some campsites around the city. The hotel is located close to museums and entertainment areas.

One word of advice: whatever your budget, book accommodation well in advance- Stuttgart is generally full of visitors, whether business travellers or otherwise, and accommodation is often very hard to get.
