What to Pack
Most everything you’re likely to need- camera, toiletries, medicines and cosmetics- are easily available in Prague. Comfortable thick-soled shoes are a requisite when travelling to Prague as the streets are cobble-stoned and your feet are sure to hurt if you plan to walk in fancy footwear.
Pack in some warm clothes, as it is cold enough to need a light jacket through the spring and autumn months, except during the summer months when it’s just about warm (July is the hottest). If you’re visiting the country during the winter, go well equipped with woollens- it can be very cold, and temperatures are usually well below 0° C. Remember that the country’s weather is fairly damp and unpredictable; umbrellas, raincoats and windcheaters are needed almost throughout the year to protect yourself from the sudden downpours.
A city map and a guide book are essential to carry on your trip to Prague. They can even be purchased from the many book stores, souvenir shops and departmental stores in Prague.
