Seychelles lifts swimming ban after shark attacks

February 17, 2012

Seychelles Maritime Safety Authority, who previously issued a swimming and diving ban in areas around Praslin, La Digue, St Pierre and Curieuse Island, due to shark attacks, has recently lifted the bar. Travellers may now enjoy swimming and diving in these areas. However, the authorities advise people to be extra cautious while swimming and diving at beaches with no lifeguard assistance.
