Oasis of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International is all set to take cruising to the next level. In December 2009, Royal Caribbean will launch their biggest cruise ship Oasis of the Seas - 220,000 tons, 16 decks high and a guest capacity of 5,400.

On the Oasis of the Seas, Royal Caribbean has introduced the groundbreaking concept of 'neighborhood' areas on board the cruise ship. For the first time ever, entertainment areas have become neighborhoods at sea with an Open Air Aqua theatre and a range of other activities to suit everyone.

The Oasis of the Seas will sail from her homeport of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and embark on 7-Night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruise itineraries.

Activities Onboard

Central Park is the ship's buzzing piazza where you can wander through lush tropical space under open skies or dine al fresco, watch a street performance or even pick up a painting at an art gallery. The high point would be to sip a drink or two at the spanking new Rising Bar, enjoy the changing views as the bar moves slowly up and down three decks!

The Broadwalk combines old world charm with a dash of modernity. Have a ride on the world's first onboard Carousel, visit the unique Aqua Theater or go Rock climbing and try your hand at the exhilarating Zip Line. After that, snack at one of the many casual cafes or gorge on a platter of exotic seafood.

Royal Promenade is the heart of the cruise ship and one can relax, sip a coffee and watch the world go by. Have a leisurely lunch and spend the afternoon checking out the shops. The evenings here are lively with parades and entertainment for one and all.

Pool and Sports Zone is for the energetic guest with a wide variety of activities to choose from you will not have a single dull moment here. Push your limits on the rock climbing walls, shoot some hoops at the basketball courts, lounge by the pools or practice your putting on the miniature golf course. Here there is an activity for everyone to enjoy.

The Youth Zone makes sure the children are kept out of your hair and you can be stress free. A host of games and activities will keep them busy for hours and they will be supervised, so no need to worry!

Vitality Zone is where you relax and get rejuvenated. Indulge and get a spa treatment done or get fit at a low impact aerobic class and then enjoy a juice or healthy snack at the Vitality café.

Entertainment Place is a contemporary nightclub district. Depending on your mood - dance away under the stars, listen to some live jazz music, gamble at the casino, catch a theatre show or laugh your guts out at the comedy club.
