Gautam Chadha
Chairman & CEO

Leads JourneyMart.com with his global understanding of the travel industry and vision of evolving travel markets. JourneyMart.com was set up in keeping with the new e-business environment.

Well recognized in the Indian travel trade, Gautam has over 25 years of experience and professional expertise honed with stints at ITC Hotels, American Express TRS and British Airways where he was last Marketing Coordinator for Asia, Africa, Australia and concurrently Brand Manager - Ethnic Services at the airlines headquarters in London. In 1991, the entrepreneur in Gautam surfaced and he ventured out on his own. He returned to India to set up a travel marketing organisation and has been associated with leading global travel brands including US Airways, Royal Caribbean Cruise Ltd, Hertz, British Midland, America West Airlines and Hyatt Corporation. Gautam is responsible for introducing the concept of a cruise vacation in the India market, and has been widely acknowledged by the industry for the same.

Gautam currently heads his own travel marketing organisation, TIRUN Travel Marketing, which has a network of 6 locations throughout India and represents Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Island Cruises and SilverSea for marketing and sales distribution in India and area countries.


Gurjit Singh Ahuja
Executive Director

Gurjit brings a strong travel sales, marketing and product development base, along with his dynamic understanding of technology and travel e-commerce environment to the company. With over 17 years of professional experience spanning Airlines, Hotels, Cruise Lines and the Car Rental industry, Gurjit follows evolving trends in travel keenly and shares his knowledge of the trade at various educational and training forums. Gurjit has worked in New Delhi as Sales Manager with Discover the World Marketing handling US Airways, America West Airlines, British Midland Airlines, Aeromexico, Hertz, Hyatt Hotels, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Celebrity Cruises. Gurjit's previous assignments include sales and marketing with the Malaysia Airlines, prior to which he was responsible for business development with Catvision Products Ltd., a company that spearheaded C-band, CATV , MATV technology and the cable television revolution in the India market.


The Rest of the Team

The Interzign teams are led by and made up of experienced professionals from respective areas of expertise - Creative Heads for Content Writing and Design, Technical Directors, Senior Programmers, Network Administrators and Hardware Technicians; Marketing, Advertising and Customer Relationship Managers from the Advertising, Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Industry
 


Milestones
March 2000   Interzign Solutions is conceptualized by three enterprising professionals
June 2000 Interzign Solutions is incorporated as a Private Ltd Company and JourneyMart- its first venture, is set up. The company moves into its present office in Greater Kailash, New Delhi, starting operations with a staff of four.  
April 2001       JourneyMart.com goes online under beta test
April 2001    Concept introduction to the travel trade at SATTE 2001
November 2001  JourneyMart enters into marketing alliance with Yahoo India and gains access to 17 million   users registered with Yahoo India
February 2002     Employee strength up 7 times, to 30 
March 2002       Forges Travel Channel Partnership with MSN India
September 2002 JourneyMart becomes exclusive Travel Channel partner of Rediff.com and powers the travel section on Rediff.com
September 2002 JourneyMart moves Hosting Solutions to Reliance Infocom Ltd
November 2002 JourneyMart ties up with the Department of Tourism, Govt of India website www.tourismofindia to provide  travel service fulfillment
March 2004 JourneyMart becomes the Travel Channel partner of www.moneycontrol.com
August 2004 JourneyMart tests online viability by becoming an online travel agent, changing it's revenue model to be a complete online travel provider.  
December 2004 JourneyMart applies for IATA accreditation.
May 2005 JourneyMart is now an accredited IATA Travel Agency
August 2005 Over 400 hotels in India now available on request through the JourneyMart Hotel Search
September 2005 JourneyMart has ticketing arrangements with over 30 airlines, including low cost carriers.
April 2006 Launches an online domestic flight booking engine
May 2006 Expands relationship with 650 hotels in India. Targets 1000 hotels by end 2006
