Love Parade 2014

Where: Germany

"The Art of Love"- Love Parade lets it all hang out in the party of Techno Music with trance, house, rap and dance.

Love Parade is the festival of electronic dance and music was first held in 1989 in West Berlin, Germany. It was held annually in Berlin from 1989 - 2003, and then from Berlin the parade moved to different cities. In 2006 the German city Ruhr witnessed the biggest street party ever, with over 1.2 million techno and trance fans celebrating on the city’s streets. This crazy party continued to happen till 2008, with Essen taking the baton of festival in 2007 and Dortmund in 2008. The next Love Parade happened in 2010 in Duisburg which again witnessed a rush of a huge crowd attending the festival. Due to the event rush in 2010, which led to the injury and death of a lot of people, in 2011 the event has been suspended till further notice.

Love Parade rightly stands for being an adult exhibitionist's playground as people dress up in skimpy clothes wearing heavy and unusual make-up and use toys and masks to interact with the crowd. The Love Parade is a symbol for fundamental self expression and in this event people are free to do just about anything they want to- sitting and dancing on streetlamps, trees, commercial signs and telephone booths. Hence, the Parade is often referred to as ''the greatest amateur circus on earth''. People travel from neighbouring countries to take part in the freaky Love Parade and have a crazy time being all by themselves!

Entry to the Love Parade is absolutely free of cost. There’s music, dance, fun and independence at the Love Parade!
