Hong Kong Arts Festival is the most awaited festival in Hong Kong, which is an international arts festival showcasing the best Asian and local talents along with the top artists from around the world. The festival in its 40th year is dedicated to the world of performing arts and boasts of performances and events by top international, regional, national, and local talent over the course of one month. The festival showcases an assorted mix of classical and contemporary works that reaches an audience of 1, 20,000 people including the participants of the Festival’s Young Friends Scheme.

The various theatre, music, dance and opera events will be conducted in 17 different venues. Some of which are Hong Kong Cultural Centre, HK Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong City Hall, and Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Counter bookings for the tickets will from 3rd December 2011. Regulars can also book their tickets through URBTIX outlets, Hong Kong ticketing or online. You are also advised to book your tickets well in advance as tickets for certain shows are immediate sell outs.

2012 HKAF Performances and Events

In all 166 performances will be held at the 40th HKAF that will showcase 38 group performers and solo artists from overseas and 16 from Hong Kong. Some of the performances and events that you should not miss out are given below.

The Wild Boar, Show Flat, and the Hamburg Ballet by John Neumeier are some of the events that will keep you entertained at the festival.
