Michael Eavis, the festival’s founder, would have never thought that this festival would grow into a magnificent event attended by millions of people each year. The largest open-air music and performing arts festival (900 acres), the Glastonbury Festival, is best known for its contemporary music. In addition to the music it also features dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret and many more arts. Rock, world, electronic, raggae, folk, hip hop and many more genre of music can be heard at the festival.
