The heady fragrance of flowers fills the air in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand in February every year. This is when the greatest flower show in all of Thailand takes place. Sculptures crafted from flowers abound and they come in all shapes and sizes and range from temples, animals and some even depict stories from ancient scriptures. These are paraded down the streets of the town so that all may come and view these works of art.
Orchids, chrysanthemums, roses and gladioli are only some of the flowers used for the displays and they come in a number of varieties. Come and take part in this sweet smelling festival in Chiang Mai!
