Where to Stay in Interlaken

Interlaken is a major tourist destination and is geared with accommodation and places to stay of all sorts. There tends to be a skew towards more expensive accommodation, as in the rest of Switzerland. Most of the town’s hotels and places to stay are ranged along Hoheweg, the main thoroughfare.

If you’re a luxurious travelers looking for high end hotels in Interlaken, then some 5 star hotels you could choose from are Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa and Lindner Grand Hotel Beau Rivage. If you’re more interested in the standard deluxe category of hotels then there are various 4 star hotels for you to choose from, some options for which are Royal St. Georges, Hotel Interlaken and Hotel Krebs Interlaken.

Midrange travelers can choose to stay at one of the 3 star hotels, that are mid priced and comfortable. Hotel Toscana, Hotel Bellevue, Hotel Weisses Kreuz and Best Western Hotel Bernerhof are some options for some well reputed hotels.

Budget accommodation is available a little out of town and so are hostels and campsites where you can live fairly cheaply. There are campsites within easy reach of town, the nearest being behind the Ost station. Note that summer is peak time in Interlaken, and accommodation is invariably booked to bursting capacity.
