SwitzerlandWhere to Stay in Switzerland |

From bed and breakfasts to local chalets to the finest and most expensive in luxury lodging, your options for accommodation and places to stay are ad infinitum in Switzerland. If you were planning to make a longish stop in the hills, one of the chalets or mountain lodges run by the friendly locals would be a good idea.
Cheap and comfortable, these cosy cottages are usually located at the heart of the landscape with beautiful views. The hosts normally know the area well, and should be happy to give you their two words of wisdom on what to see and what not to get ripped off on. There will most likely be one gratis meal included in the room rate and will probably have a private bath of its own.
In Lucerne, for example, you could get a boarding house at a cheap rate during winter. If you want to get a taste of Swiss city life as it is, choose from the wide range of hotels from luxury deluxe hotels to midrange and budget hotels.
Both Zurich and Geneva offer a wide range of lodging options. Treat yourself to one of the luxury 5 star hotels like Hilton. But if you are not exactly travelling like the rich and famous, you could choose from one of the mid range hotels with a 3 star rating.
