What to Pack
Again, depends entirely on time of the year. Pack wisely, especially if you are going to be camping out in the country for extended periods of time and where you might not have regular or affordable access to cheap footwear or extra woollens.

Travel Documents
All citizens of the EU countries can enter Switzerland without a visa for tourist purposes. A valid Identity Card is required for EU citizens but this does not apply for Bulgaria and Romania whose identity cards are not accepted. There are 28 countries whose nationals do not need a visa to visit the EU for three months or less. These include Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and the United States.
It may take up to two months for the processing of a visa application, even longer in individual cases, depending on the time of the year. It is recommended that you file your application two months prior to your visit to Switzerland.
