Shopping in Balearic Islands

The Balearics are, quite literally, a shopper’s paradise. Whether you’re a shopaholic looking to fill your bags, or a run-of-the-mill souvenir hunter, this is one place you’re not likely to be disappointed. All across the islands, lots of interesting and beautiful handicrafts are made, and you’ll find them in shops and boutiques everywhere you go: shoes, textiles, furniture, lace, embroideries, carved olive wood, hand-painted pottery, glassware, raffia work, and wrought iron work. And as if that isn’t enough, the islands are also famed for their excellent costume jewellery or, if you’re willing to spend that extra bit more, the pearls from Mallorca are worth every peseta you pay for them!
