NetherlandsEating Out in Netherlands |

|
Typical specialties in the Netherlands include soups and stews and you can choose from a wide variety of cheese, meat and fish. Desserts like pancakes, waffles, pudding and yoghurt also play a major role in the country’s cuisine. You can experience anything from traditional Dutch cuisine to Indonesian delicacies in the snack bars, modest cafes to luxurious and exorbitant restaurants strewn all across the country. Breakfast is hearty and very continental – bread, butter, jam, cheese, ham, tea, coffee and juice. Lunch is compact with a quick sandwich, called broodje, followed by evening snacks. In major cities many restaurants serve international cuisines and over the years fast food chains have emerges rapidly.
The best nightlife would again be found in the countless bars and pubs lining the downtown streets of Amsterdam. Walking down the red light district in Amsterdam is also an experience in itself.
