What to Pack
Make sure you carry your camera there will be plenty of photo ops…… for Holland’s folk dances, customs and countless festivals will make you want to capture every single moment forever.
On a more practical note, bring along medium weight clothing for the summer, slightly warmer clothing for autumn, and don’t forget a long, woolen coat for the winter as well as strong boots.

Travel Documents
The 1995 Schengen Agreement, of which The Netherlands is a signatory, governs rules pertaining to visas and passports. Citizens of EU countries require neither a passport and visa nor a return ticket. Citizens of EU member counties and those of Andorra, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland and Cyprus must however, carry a national ID card issued by their governments. British citizens do need to carry their passports.
If you are Japanese, American, Australian or Canadian you are not required to get a visa. You must have a passport that is valid for a minimum of 3 months from the last day of your stay in the Netherlands.
Others must contact the Netherlands Embassy or Consulate in their country for information regarding travel documents.
