What to Pack
Pack in a lot of sunscreen and bring along your swimming trunks for a swim in the blue, blue Indian Ocean. Unless you are here for a business visit, sunglasses, shorts, and t-shirts and casual wear are all that you need. If you are on prescription medicine, it is best you carry supplies to last the duration of your visit. A spare pair of spectacles (in case you wear them) is also a good idea.

Travel Documents
Mayotte has the same formalities as those of France. You need a passport, no matter where you come from. If you are a citizen of Canada, most European countries or the US, you do not need a visa for a stay of three months. Australians and New Zealanders need a French visa from the embassy at home.
