How to get there by Air
Flights are available from all the major EU nations and African countries directly to Mayotte.

How to get there by Sea
Ships from mainland Africa will normally take you as far as Madagascar. From there you would have to get a boat to the island of Mayotte. This requires a lot of patience because there are no schedules or timetables. The ferry terminals at Mayotte are Mamoudzou and Dzaoudzi.

Getting Around
By Air
There is an airline that can transport you between towns but it is expensive and not worth it because of the short distances in the island.
By Road:
Share-taxis (taxi brousse) are about the only form of public transport available on the island, but they operate only in the populated areas and rarely travel to remote areas. There is no car hire service on the island. If you plan on hiring a car you would have to go to a neighbouring island.
