Festivals and Events in Jerusalem

Being one of the well known pilgrim places, Jerusalem is famed for its major cultural events- Israel Independence Day in May, Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day) in the month of June, Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) is celebrated ten days after Rosh Hashanah (a religious fast day) and the famous Sukkot, which is Feast of Tabernacles, is celebrated throughout Jerusalem in October.
