Best Time to Visit Java

The weather and the season should be of foremost consideration when planning a visit to Java. Java, like the other part of Indonesia archipelago, has a tropical climate with two basic seasons - the rainy season from October to April and dry summer season from May to September.

The dry season, from May to September, is the best time to come over as the wet season that lasts from October to April shroud the entire region in clouds and incessant rainfall in the highlands can dampen even the most enthusiastic of travellers. Elsewhere, travel in the wet season is not usually a problem since rain seems to fall in short torrential early morning or mid-afternoon bursts.

The main tourist season is during the summer in July and August but that’s also the time prices rise and accommodation and transport can be tight.
