Lansdowne is well connected to New Delhi by road. The driving distance between New Delhi and Lansdowne is 295 kilometers and it will take you anywhere between 6-7 hours to get to the tiny hamlet. You can even drive down to Lansdowne from Dehradun, the distance is 170 kilometers and it will take you somewhere between 2-3 hours to get there.
Driving directions from New Delhi to Lansdowne
Take the NH-24 and continue driving on the Nizamuddin Bridge via Ghazipur Border and Dabar Chowk. A further 13 kilometer drive on the Mohan Nagar Road gets you on the Ghaziabad border from where you will have to turn right and then left to get on to the NH-58. Continue 10 kilometers on the NH-58 and cross Modinagar to reach Meerut. At Meerut, take the NH-119 and continue driving via Hastinapur, Bahsuma and Miranpur to reach Bijnor. From Bijnor, drive straight to reach Najibabad from where take the NH-199 to get to Kotdwar. From Kotdwar, continue driving uphill towards Dugadda and Derikhal to reach Lansdowne.
The drive from Kotdwar to Lansdowne is very scenic as you drive uphill; you will find yourself surrounded by dense pine and cedar forests. The roads are in a good condition too. more hide
