The greatest event in the state is the Rath Yatra at Puri. Other festivals of Orissa that draw crowds are the Dance Festival at Konark, the Puri Beach Festival, the Chariot Festival at Lingaraj Temple (Bhubaneshwar) on Ashokastami, Magha Saptami, the festival dedicated to Surya the Sun God in Konark and the Adivasi Mela, the Tribal Fair at Bhubaneshwar with dance and folk art performances as its highlights.
