Festivals and Events in Karjat

The main festivals in Karjat include Dahi Handi or Krishna Janmashtami that is celebrated with pomp and show during August/September. The celebrations comprise of big human towers trying to break the Dahi Handi (an earthen pot filled with curd).

Other special event in Karjat is the festival of lights, Diwali, celebrated in the month of October.
