Sightseeing in BR Hills is not restricted to a visit to the jungle as there are various temples among other things. There is more than just the jungle at BR Hills. Visit the centuries old temple of Biligiri Rangaswamy (the BR in the name is derived from this) dedicated to the deity Lord Rangaswamy.

The temple at BR Hills hold an unusual relic, large oversized sandals which the Lord is supposed to wear to explore the nearby forests. In a charming expression of their beliefs, the sandals are replaced regularly by the local villagers.

Visit a Soliga settlement and watch the oldest inhabitants of the jungles at their daily routine.
