There is no dearth of activities in Andaman & Nicobar Islands as the island offers you a chance to snorkel, scuba dive and swim in complete isolation on sandy white beaches, in addition to camping and trekking.

Camping: Andaman & Nicobar Islands offer plenty of outdoor activities for adventure freaks and one such activity is island. Since the islands are a home to a wide array of floral and faunal species and most of the area is covered with canopied rain forests where you can see 3,000 plant species including mangroves, woody climbers, wonderful tropical vegetation with lush green dense forests and mangrove marshland on the water’s edge, thus maling the islands perfect for camping.

Scuba Diving: Andaman is famous for Scuba diving. The best diving spots in Andaman are- Lighthouse Point, an exciting dive site with plenty of big fish action. The current i9n water can be strong here, therefore this dive site is recommended for more experienced divers. Neil’s Pride consists of coral-covered rocks with lots of beautiful hard and soft corals. North Button Island is an easy dive – and here you will get to witness the diverse marine life. Moreover the currents fluctuate from weak to moderate. South Button Island is also a good site with hard corals and coral mounds. The best time to go diving here is in the months between December and April.

Surfing & Snorkelling: Most popular beaches of Andaman & Nicobar islands include the Corbyn’s Cove Beach, Radhanagar Beach, Karmatang Beach, Harminder Bay Beach and Ramnagar Beach. All these sandy beaches offer surfing and snorkeling as popular water activities. The waves can be a little tough and surfing is definitely not for the light-hearted! The best time to hit the sea is in the early hours in morning as the surrounding is peaceful with no disturbance.

Trekking: You can go trekking on the nature trail from Mt. Harriet to Madhuban and enjoy the rare forest life watching wonderful flora and fauna. Island camping at Havelock is a good outdoor experience. Tents are available on hire at moderate rates from October to May during fair weather.

The Government has invested in tourism by building the Andaman Water Sports Complex. This complex has all possible aqua sports facilities. Paddle boats, glass-bottom boats, aqua glide, kayaks, water scooters are available. The adventurous have plenty of options such as water skiing, wind surfing, speedboats, sailboats and para-sailboats.
