Mykonos is amongst one of the most expensive island in Greece but you can always look out for some places which offer good value. Some of the best seafood can be found on the Greek islands. “Little Venice” is one such restaurants in Mykonos which will offer you fine food, great beer, romance and a view to die for. The best breakfast/afternoon snack place is the "blue umbrellas" in the main road which leads to the old port (i.e. restaurants that you see along the street near the taxi square).
One island specialty is taramasalata, the codfish roe. In most of Greece, taramasalata is dyed pink, but on Mykonos, it's served white. Try Mykonos sausages, flavored with oregano, pepper, olives and spices, and louses, slices of pork marinated in the same blend of spices and then dried, sliced and served as an appetizer. The eating places are open from about noon till the last customer leaves, and then again in the evening from 6 until late.
